We’re excited to announce new features around historical course information, current course engagement, and filters for coordinating around specific groups of students.
Visibility into classroom engagement (Learn More)
For those institutions that choose to map their Learning Management System (LMS) data (watch this video to learn more about LMS data in Inspire!), advisors and faculty will now be able to see a student’s unique daily logins and, for some LMS systems, the course grade relative to their peers in the same section. This helps provide more up to date information throughout the term for tailored support for students. Advisors will see this data on the “Courses” Tab and Faculty will be able to review it in their class roster for each section.
Updates to Course Information (Learn More)
A new summary view of a student’s academic background is now available. Advisors can quickly review GPA, Total Earned Credits, Transfer Credits, Course Retakes, and Course Withdrawals providing more complete context for student conversations.
In addition, advisors and students can also send messages to faculty members directly from the courses view for better collaboration and closed-loop communication with faculty members.
Coordination around Specific Student Groups
We have updated the way filters are organized and displayed within the application so they are consistent and easier to use across key tools such as Advanced Search, Groups, and Reports. This means you can be sure you’re interacting with the same set of students as you engage in different ways and across different team members. The updated filter categories include System Activity, Academic Information, Demographics, Progress to Degree, Courses, Advising, Alerts, and Other.
