Scheduling an Appointment

There are two main ways an advisor can schedule an advising appointment, but the results are the same:

  • The appointment appears on your calendar.

  • Both you and the student receive an email confirmation with appointment details.

  • An advising note placeholder is auto-generated.

Scheduling from Available Appointments

If you have already set up your calendar and created appointment slots, you can schedule appointments from the Available Appointments tab on the calendar.

Filter by appointment status to find available appointments slots and select a row to schedule. 

Enter a student name for the field labeled 'Appointment with' and scroll down to enter appointment information.   

Update the following, then click Schedule Appointment:

  • modality and location
  • session topics
  • session notes (visible to the student)
  • intake notes (not visible to the student)

The appointment will appear on your calendar. Both you and the student will receive an email confirmation with appointment details.

Scheduling from advising hours 

An appointment can be scheduled by clicking available advising slots, then selecting the Schedule Appointment tab.

Enter the student’s name and select an appointment slot.

Update information for the remaining appointment fields: 

  • Appointment Modality
  • Session topics 
  • Engagement Opportunities (if any)
  • Intake Note (not visible to the student) 
  • Session Note (visible to the student)

When you’ve completed the form, click the Schedule Appointment button. The appointment will appear on your calendar, and both you and the student will receive an email confirmation with appointment details.
