Advising | Leveraging Platform Capabilities in Student Advising, Services, and Support


We have opportunities to support students every day, and Inspire can help student affairs professionals, particularly advisors, to do that effectively and efficiently. In this session, we provided an overview of the Inspire dashboard and navigation and discussed setting up the system for key workflows at the start of the term. Then, we focused on functionality that supports day-to-day student services tasks with an eye toward proactive, targeted, personalized student support. (Originally recorded: July 22, 2021)



Advising Analytics and Workflow: Designing Strategies for Student Support with Inspire


Inspire provides ongoing opportunities for targeted student support. Our focus in this session was on using data to identify students who would benefit from engagement, and when and how student services professionals and teams can use that information to effectively and efficiently address barriers to student success. Inspire: Engaging Students Toward Long-Term Goals


Keeping students focused on their goals can be a powerful technique in helping them to reach them. This session will focus on identifying students who may need targeted outreach to persist toward graduation, and will include a demonstration of Inspire tools and data that advisors and other students affairs staff can use to support students on their unique paths. This session will include steps you can take now to help students to finish strong this term, including making plans for the next term. (Originally recorded: March 2021)




Inspire: Strategies for Student Support 


Advisors and other student affairs professionals can use Inspire to gain insights into their students’ paths’ toward graduation, and engage the students they support toward that goal effectively (and efficiently!). In this session, we shared ways to leverage the tools and data in Inspire to create a semester plan to focus on and communicate with the right students at the right point-in-term to enable their success at your institution. We also looked at ways in which teams can use the collaborative tools in Inspire to share about and support one another's work with students. (Originally recorded: February 2021)



Inspire: Enrolling students not yet registered for courses 


This session focused on identifying students not yet registered for courses that begin after winter break, and getting those students enrolled. We also looked at key data points for advisors' attention now and in January, toward identifying students who may benefit from outreach and support. (Originally recorded: December 2020)
